I obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Cádiz in 2017 and have been a member of the research group PAIDI SEJ-295 “Economics of Innovation and Transport” since 2010. Currently, I am an Assistant Professor in the area of Applied Economics in the Department of General Economics. As part of my teaching activity, I have participated in four teaching innovation projects at the University of Cádiz, which have been recognized with awards and mention of excellence.

My doctoral thesis was supervised by CSIC researchers Dr. José Luis Oviedo and Dr. Alejandro Caparrós. It received the qualification of Outstanding Cum Laude with European mention. During my research, I completed three pre-doctoral research stays at the University of Bordeaux (France, 2013), Durham University (England, 2014), and the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC, 2015).

I have eight publications, four of them in high-impact international journals indexed in the first quartiles of the JCR and SCR indices. Additionally, I have participated in over a dozen international conferences on applied economics, innovation, and technology transfer. Likewise, I have been part of the research team in two projects funded by the Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Competitiveness (ECO2013-42110-P and ECO2017-84461-R) and one project funded by the University of Cádiz’s own plan (PR2017-084).

As part of my contribution to university-industry knowledge transfer, I have participated in five OTRI contracts funded by the Port Authorities of Bahía de Algeciras and Cádiz, coordinated by professors Daniel Coronado and Manuel Acosta (OT2015/058; OT2015/059; OT2015/080; OT2017/001, OT2017/107).
