I joined the University of Cádiz in 1990 and obtained my Ph.D. from the University of Cádiz in 2005. In 1992, I obtained the position of Associate Professor at a University School, and in 2009, I became an Associate Professor at the University of Cádiz. Throughout these years, I have taught various subjects in the Department of Applied Economics, such as Financial System and Financing Methods, Economic Structure, Economics, and Microeconomics, receiving positive evaluations for five teaching periods. Regarding my research career since obtaining my Ph.D. in 2005, I have been a member of the research group PAI SEJ-295 “Economics of Innovation and Transport,” currently led by Dr. Daniel Coronado Guerrero. As a member of this group, I have developed my research career in the lines of scientific and technological knowledge generation and the analysis of science-technology relationships, also conducting specific research for the food sector.The research results have led to various scientific publications and presentations at conferences, mainly of an international nature. It is worth noting that out of the publications obtained, seven of them are indexed in the ISI Web of Knowledge databases, with four in the first quartile and three in the second quartile. I have also participated as a researcher in research projects funded by the Andalusian Regional Government (excellence project) and the National Research Plan. Currently, I have been awarded two six-year research periods by the National Commission for the Assessment of Research Activity (CNAEI).
