Ana María Fernández Pérez

Profesora Titular de Universidad

I obtained my Ph.D. in 2004 with the highest honors, Sobresaliente Cum Laude. In 2010, I received the Research Award from the University of Cádiz (III edition) in the Scientific Contributions category. I published the book “The Determinants of Innovation and Innovative Attitudes in Industrial Companies. Analysis of the Andalusian Case” in 2006, through the University of Cádiz’s Publishing Service.

I earned a six-year research period for 2004-2009. My work includes publishing various articles and contributions in national and international journals with impact factors, such as Research Policy, Scientometrics, European Planning Studies, Economía Industrial, and Revista de Estudios Regionales. I am a member of the Innovation and Transport Economics Research Group (SEJ-295), and I have participated in publicly funded R&D projects.

My main research areas are technological innovation, regional development, innovation systems, modeling R&D activities in regional innovation systems, and the economics of scientific and technological knowledge. I have presented numerous papers at national and international conferences and symposiums.
